On January 24, 2010, Member Care Ministry launched one of its
first activities for this new year: SoulCare Foundations in Counseling Seminar.

The objectives of the event were to introduce the basics and importance of counseling in a church and furthermore pave the way to the establishment of the Counseling Ministry. It also aims to equip and educate future counselors on the basics of counseling, specifically biblical counseling.

The seminar was held at Club 8586 Center at around 4:00 pm which was attended by its youth members and also some visitors from the community.

Speakers of the seminar were Member Care’s own Rhenand and Keithlyn Manayao, and also VP for FLG, Randie Salonga and one pioneer counselor, Donna Lynn Manun-og.

The four core topics of the seminar included Introduction to Counseling, Second is on Pagpapayo: Kristiyano at Pilipino,
Third is the core which was about Ethics and the Spiritual Resources in Counseling, and the final topic was about Common Mental Illness.
